The Unbearable Lightness of Being Digital

27th January 2004

9:08am: Though I'm not one to normally post political links, I thought this one was encouraging:
Part of Patriot Act Ruled Unconstitutional

I only hope that this is a precedent, allowing for more similar rulings in the future.

9:11am: Holy moly! Wow, is it ever cold outside this morning!

For the statistically minded:
According to it's currently 3 degrees F., with the wind chill it feels like -11 F.

I got up at 6:30 this morning and joined my brother-in-law in visiting my grandma's house and shoveling her driveway and walk. What followed was a hurried (though thorough) shoveling with much grimacing and silliness.

Immediately after, we bro-in-law and I reconvened at the Fluffy Fresh donuts just around the corner on State Line. I bought a dozen to share with my coworkers.

Boy, I don't want to work - I hear my bed calling...

Current Mood: Still cold!
10:08am: I had quite a productive day yesterday.

After a decent day at work, I hit the company gym and used a recumbent stationary bike for 30 minutes, stretched a little, and did a few inclined sit-ups, some push ups, and some dumbell curls.

Next, I hit not one, not two, but three (3) grocery stores. I like Wild Oats and Whole Foods, but gee - stock some NORMAL stuff too, people! :-)

When I got home, I picked up a bit, ran a couple loads of laundry, cleaned the dishes in the sink (including the crockpot), shoveled the driveway and walk, showered, and booted my laptop so I could add a security update, sync my e-mail, and backup some data to a USB flash drive.

I finally got to bed around 11pm, but for some strange reason, couldn't sleep right away. Gee, I wonder why? :-)
